Australian comedian Jim Jefferies is rolling into FX.
Co-created by Peter O'Fallon and Jefferies, the network has ordered a pilot episode of "Legit," set to air in January 2013.
The series centers on a comedian (Jefferies) and his "misguided attempts to become legitimate in life." His best friend Steve (Dan Bakkedahl) and Steve's brother Billy (DJ Qualls) attempt to help him along the way.
"I couldn't be happier than getting to do this show," Jefferies said in a statement. "FX has set the bar so high with shows like Louie and Sunny, but I believe Peter and I have created something special. The cast is amazing and FX has given us all the freedom we need. I can't wait for people to see it."
"Legit" joins other FX comedies, including "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia," "Archer" and "Louie."
